Rob

Rob Gilroy is a writer, performer and character comedian, something his family have already said they're very proud of so don't keep asking, Rob.

He performed on the UK comedy circuit between 2010 and 2015 taking two shows to the Edinburgh Fringe. Rob also founded the Jolly Mixtures sketch comedy night, which went on to become a very success sketch group until it imploded due to fierce creative differences and habitual drug use. Rob joined Murder Inc in 2022 after completing the Laugh at Leeds improv classes taught by Kate and Jade. Not long after, they asked him to join the group after what they described as 'a pretty fallow year for talent', so then he must have been good, surely?

As a writer, Rob has provided sketches, jokes and additional material for a range of BBC Radio shows as well as Mock the Week. He was described as "One of the best new comedy writing talents around" by Chris Addison and "Brilliant" by Josie Long.

Rob continues to write and perform comedy characters, web series and sketches on his social channels and, no, he doesn't just say that to justify his doom scrolling addiction, Mum. Rob's ultimate dream is to one day have a professionally taken photo of himself.
